Last Saturday I drove to College Station to be on campus for the most anticipated game of the 2013 college football season, #1 and defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide vs. #6 Texas A&M, my alma mater. Definitely wasn’t going to the game because those ticket prices were ridiculous, but the tailgating and pre-game experience in Aggieland is second to none. I think it’s something every college football fan should experience, whether you are an A&M fan, fan of the visiting team, or have no rooting interest for either team. Although my school lost 49-42, it definitely lived up to the hype.
While I was there I decided to bring one of my cameras to take photos of the festivities.
8 AM, 290 West headed towards College Station. Always bottlenecks as you turn on to Highway 6.

College GameDay Crew. Had to work really hard to get this shot.
Spence Park, directly across the street from Kyle Field. One of many places on campus to tailgate.
One of several very clever posters I saw throughout the day.
Approximately 2 hours before kickoff at A&M home games, the football team and coaches gets escorted to the stadium by the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.

The A&M Yell Leaders hold a mini Yell Practice at the Alumni Center before kickoff.
Inside the Alumni Center, where they broadcast the game on this huge screen and several in the building…
…and this is where I decided to watch the game. My vantage point.
Took this photo as I was headed to the buses to leave campus.
The excessive heat took so much out of me and I paid the price the next day, but it was worth it.
