What is the difference between a Regular Session and a Mini-Session?

Regular Sessions are at least 60 minutes for a one outfit session and 90 minutes for a two-outfit session and can be held at multiple locations. Mini-Sessions are shorter sessions that last no longer than 40 minutes and are just one-outfit and cap and gown. Also, it is only held at a single location.

How do I make an appointment deposit payment?

Appointment deposits are paid via PayPal, available on the site. Click here for payment.

Do I need a PayPal account to pay the deposit?

No, a PayPal account is not needed to make the payment. You can make the payment by entering your debit or credit card information.

After I pay the appointment deposit, do I need to let you know right away what packages I want and the session date?

No, you don’t have to let me know at that time. But the sooner you can select a session date, the better. I need to know what packages you want, in particular the amount of outfits you plan to wear, in order to dedicate the necessary time for the sessions to be completed.

If I only pay Session Fees will I receive any photos?

No, the Session Fees only cover time and labor for taking the photos during the session. You will need to select one of the print options in order to receive your images.

What dates are available for me to book a session?

Photo sessions are usually scheduled on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). During the spring, there may be availability during the week after 5 PM for Houston-area clients only.

What if our session gets rained out?

Jerren Willis Photography will work with you to reschedule the session to a time that accommodates both you, the client, and the photographer.

Can I include my parents, my child, spouse, or a close friend in a few photos during the session?

Yes, they can be in a few photos during the session for no additional charge.

Can I choose the location of the session?

Yes, you can choose the location. Jerren Willis Photography will also offer suggestions if you are struggling to find a location.

Can I take the photos indoors?

Yes, but if it is a private indoor location you will be responsible for securing the area for the session.

Do I receive all of the photos on a photo disc after the session?

You will only receive a photo disc with all of the photos after the session if you decide to purchase the Photo Disc. You will also receive a copy of all the images if you decide to purchase them digitally (Digital Copy option).

If I buy the photos from you, can I go get them printed at a place like Walgreens or CVS?

Yes, you can get them printed from those stores. A print release form will be provided upon request if necessary.

How will I view the photos after the session?

Jerren Willis Photography will send a proof album via Dropbox for you to review the photos from the session.

Can I post the proofs online (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)?

Yes, you can post proofs online.

What if I need to reschedule?

If you need to reschedule the session, please contact Jerren Willis Photography as soon as possible in order to make sure that the new time and date of the session can be placed and proper accommodations can be made.

What is the difference between a graduation announcement and a thank you card?

Graduation announcements includes all of the information about the ceremony (location, date, time, etc.) as well as your name and degree. It can also include a message to family and friends on the back side of the design. A thank you card is just a design that could include a message to your family and friends thanking them for coming to your graduation and/or graduation celebration.

What is due on the session date?

At a minimum the remainder of the session option (sitting fee) is due at the conclusion of the session. The amount will be the session option fee less the appointment deposit cost. You can also pay the entire outstanding balance at that time. If you decide to only pay the session fee on the session date, prints, announcements, etc. will not be delivered until that balance is paid in full. Payment plans are also available, please contact Jerren Willis Photography if you are interested in this option.

What are the differences in Graduation Announcement or Thank You Card sizes?

The Small (4”x5.5”) size is approximately the size of the standard photo you might get developed at a place like Walgreens or CVS.

The Large (5”x7”) size is slightly smaller than a folded, regular sized sheet of paper (horizontally… like a “hamburger”)

The Photo Card size (4”x8”) is long and rectangular, slightly shorter than a regular sized sheet of paper folded like a “hot dog” (Vertically)

Can I choose my own grad announcement design?

Yes, if you decide to choose your own design please send Jerren Willis Photography a template or photo of the specified design you would like designed.

Are there examples of grad announcements I can see?

Yes, when the proofs are sent via email you will also receive a link to the grad announcement design album.
